Warning – Email Fraud

Friends

There has been another spate of emails received by parishioners which look as though they have come from representatives of the local church. It might look like it is the local priest or someone else you know. Currently through no fault of his own people are receiving emails purporting to be from Alec Matthews. They are not from Alec. If you receive an email asking for help or money, always contact the person who seems to be sending it by another method preferably in person or on the phone.
Please be aware that it is very easy to fake an email as though it is coming from someone you know. Please note that we would never ask for money to be transferred to the parish via email or phone.

Regards, Max.
